Registration Form

Registration is required prior to participating in athletic competitions at RSHGA member events (incl running, cycling, light field, heavyweight, tug o' war and hill races). Only fully-registered competitors are eligible to receive prizes, trophies, league points and personal injury cover. RSHGA is committed to clean sport: it is a condition of registration that athletes agree to comply with anti-doping rules and participate in testing if requested. Registration fees help support athlete services including the league prize fund of over £2,000 and free personal accident insurance. (Liability insurance is not included).

No league points will be awarded until an athlete is registered. Athletes will be allocated bib numbers at events rather than use previously-allocated numbers.

"APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION WITH THE RSHGA: I wish to register as a competitor with the RSHGA for season 2024. I have read, understood and agree to be bound by the rules of competition [including disciplinary procedures] and the UK Anti-Doping Rules. The UK Anti-Doping Rules are binding on all competitors participating at members events, for a minimum of 12 months from the commencement of membership, whether or not the competitor is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK. If the competitor wishes to retire from the sport, they will notify RSHGA in writing. I agree that RSHGA may share my personal information with its affiliated organisations for the purpose of insurance, licensing or for publishing results of events, leagues and awards, and may use my image in RSHGA publications or for the furtherance of Highland games. This may include (but not be limited to) name, town, sports club, times/distances and age category. RSHGA will not share personal data with other organisations for the purposes of third-party marketing. I will notify RSHGA if I want to opt out of newsletters/mailings."

Registrations for Season 2024

Registration Fees
Athletes must be registered prior to competing and points will only be awarded to registered athletes. Any athletes not registered by the day of competition will not receive league points.

Adults:
£25 per person
(£15 per person if paid not later that 30^th April 2024)

Senior:
£10 per person if aged 65 or over on date of registration

Youths:
£10 per person if aged under 16 on date of registration

Tug-o-War Teams:
£40 per team. Personal accident insurance does not apply to TOW teams, only to those registered as individuals as mentioned above.

Day Permit:
Athletes who wish to compete only at ONE Member Games during the Season may apply for a Day Permit. This should be done on the day at that event and may not be done online. The cost is £5 for an Adult, £10 for a Tug-o-War but FREE for a Youth.

As its name suggests, it may only be done on ONE occasion, per season. This is NOT registration with the RSHGA, does NOT provide personal insurance cover and NO points will be awarded for the Leagues, if placed in any events at that meeting. Any further participation will require immediate FULL registration at the rates specified.
